v0.8.8 - Fixes to GUI, changes to Asset loading


Changes

  • Update to Unity 6 LTS (6.0.28)
  • Throwable potions won't miss their target anymore
  • Started with improving the Inventory GUI, there will be some more iterations on this in the next releases
  • Started restructuring the way Assets are loaded. One reason is to enhance startup time in the future, but also to make M.U.D.-Match being playable on Unity Play again. Since Unity Play does not support StreamingAssets on their own servers, they are loaded remotely for now. There will be some more iterations on this in the next releases.

Known Issues

  • ASTC and ETC textures are currently unsupported. This is WIP in regards to the asset-loading changes, they will be supported again in the future.
  • Under certain circumstances, when choosing a Floor, the Selection System asks multiple times for input, causing an issue with any further selections.
  • When throwing a potion during combat at a point in time close to the countdown reaching zero, the item appears to be used but is not. It is lost afterwards.
  • Current Drag&Drop implementation is unintuitive. You don't always know if, when and how it works. 
  • Visualization of 'Combat Spectators' looks off if there is a Wall/ no Floor at the west side of a room.
